How-To Make Landmine Press Blog Written by Duke:

Materials We Used:

(All materials are in inches)

1/4 x 12 x 19 steel plate ( the base of the Land Mine Press)
12 x 2 I.D. (inside diameter) pipe – schedule 40 or equivalent (the barbell end fits inside this pipe
3 x 1 I.D. pipe – schedule 40*
3 1/4 x 1 I.D. pipe – schedule 40*
4 x 2 1/4 x 2 – 12 gauge channel
2 3/4 x 2 3/4 12 gauge plate
2-4 x 1 1/2 Flat Iron
1/4 Round Stock or larger ( U-Bolt will work)
2-5 x 1/2 Bolts
8-1/2 washers
2-1/2 Nuts

*The 3 and 3 1/4 Pipe can have smaller I.D. we used what we could find which would eliminate the process of welding the washers onto the pipe to reduce its thickness to allow for the 1/2 bolts.

  1. We're FINALLY back with another DIY video! Even if you don't have time or resources to build it, the landmine press is an awesome tool and we've included our top 5 favorite exercises to perform using the Landmine Press at the end of the video.

What else are we working on? Well, the Cutting Plan releases November 24th our Heavy Metal Music video should be out in about a week and we're trying to wrap up VFX for DBB for November. Look for those then and until next time STAY BUFF! -Hudson & Brandon (and Duke!)

  2. I've watched this video a few times and I'm curious. If you drop the weight and go for higher rep range, can you combine the farmers squat with a two handed shoulder press for a full body activation?

  3. This series is amazing. I could write a 5 page report on the many ways and reasons this video has provided ALL the direction I needed for my home gym solution, but I'll spare everyone that boredom. Thank you. Please keep it going! DIY Duke for pres 2020.

  4. I love watching this A-TEAM shit, but dude you forgot a Very important piece of PPE, Respiratory protection for whilst your metalworking not just paint spraying, and watch you don't give yourself arc eye. I say this because your priceless dude. Thanks for the videos and keep up the good work.

  5. Awesome! I Just started watching your vids and discovered you two are brothers and this is your Dad. I am close to your father’s age and, after hearing some references to “Buff Mom” in your vids, I can tell they both did a terrific job raising their boys. I am impressed with the work you both do on your productions, I have learned a lot, your charming and witty demeanor is a lot of fun and you are both inspiring teachers. The love and respect I see within your family is terrific – keep doing what you are doing guys👍

  6. Awesome build, and even more awesome Duke back at it hooking up the BuffDudes with a great and versatile piece of equipment. Just know I am praying for Duke, I hope y'all make the best of your time when your with him. Keep up that solid work, that goes for all of you! (I know I'm over a year late with this comment… but I've been busy with school)

  7. This video is very entertaining. But it's a little ridiculous considering you can buy a landmine for $30 on Amazon. Another thing I noticed, how is this not expert level?? 😂😂 Hard my ass

  8. Hey Buff Dudes! I really enjoy your videos. They have helped me when I work out. At this time in my life I don't have time to go to the gym, so I was wondering if you could do some videos of how to workout while I'm working at work. If it is lifting totes or boxes, chopping wood, or loading a truck with heavy logs. Stuff like that. I try to have good form with whatever I do, but with some things it is super hard to do and I end up hurting something. Could you do something like lifting something from the ground up (like boxes). With a bar it is up off the ground a little, but boxes aren't. Also, I don't have a lot of weights and didn't know if you guys could show how to workout with stuff at home without building any equipment? Thanks for your time making videos to help people like me to know how to workout and to workout right.
