This has been around for thousands of years but only recently has it come to the attention of the western world. But do you know how to cook quinoa? You will be pleased to know that cooking quinoa is not that hard. You simply take 1 cup of quinoa and add 2 cups of cold water to it. You then bring it to the boil and simmer for 10 -15 minutes. I fry it all in top quality Italian olive oil and only cook it fir 5 minutes maximum. I usually include some fresh basil and Tabasco and you have a fantastic quinoa stir fry to serve to your family.
You can see the possibilities for using quinoa in your cooking. It can be used instead of rice or cous cous. It can be added to all sorts of your favourite dishes as an accompaniment to meat or fish. Now you know how to cook quinoa you can start creating your own quinoa recipes.
