Garage Athletes: How to build a Platform


The Garage Athlete shows you how to build a Platform in your garage for under $200.

What you need:

4×8 3/4″ OSB Plywood (4 sheets)
4×8 3/4″ High quality Hardwood (1 sheet)
1-2 3/4″ Stallmats or any mat flooring (2 if 4×6 mats)
Liquid nails (2 tubes)
6×1-1/4 exterior wood screws (1lb. box)
Caulk Gun
Knife (or box cutter)
Screw driver (preferably electric)

  1. Is there any particular reason why people don''t lift on stall mats? I don't have enough room for an 8'*8' platform and put down 2 6'*6' stall mats, on a concrete floor.
